Description This piece is written in Arabic "Mawwal " style. Mawwal is a sort of solo melisma improvisation, sung in long vowel with common syllable phrase (Ya 3ain Ya lail ). The original "Mawwal"" has no score, which means that the music is performed directly from memory. Technically, "Mawwal " is a group of tones sung on one syllable of text smoothed sliding from tone to another similar to Portamento technique. Usually, Trill and ornament tones are added to the main skeleton melody of "Mawwal
